Still at it…

It took a while, but, I finally took the initiative to become a JEN member (Jazz Education Network). As an active member of IAJE (International Association of Jazz Educators) almost from the time it started, I was beyond disappointed when it had to shut it's doors. However, by the look of things now, all of the work that Lou Fischer, Mary Jo Papich, Andrew Surmani and others is paying off big time! The successful St. Louis convention this summer was another indication that everyone is on the same page and so is Jazz Everyone, member #2955. After 40 years as an active jazz educator, I'm still fired up and ready to go. Bird lives!
