We would like to congratulate Bernie Parsons and his son Joshua for winning the "Free For All Your Life" giveaway.
Here's a little note from Bernie as well as a photo of the two of them...
Josh and Bernie Parsons
My son, Joshua Parsons, is the Director of Bands at John F. Kennedy High School in La Palma, CA (a short drive from Disneyland if you are familiar with that 😉 He has his Bachelor and Master's degrees from Biola University in La Mirada, CA and is currently completing his Doctorate in Music from Boston University. He plays in many fine, professional groups and studied under Lauren Marstellar and others. I have been playing trumpet for many years and studied with some wonderful teachers - including Harold 'Pappy' Mitchell, Dennis Noday (Lead player for Stan Kenton, Maynard Ferguson and Mike Vax), Claude Gordon and others. I have a busy teaching schedule with some great students that make me look good most of the time by playing some great horn.
Thanks again for this opportunity to increase our knowledge and chops and share the same with our students and friends!
