Dear willie
Yesterday I have joined the yearly membership,
I play the trumpet (grate Schilke trumpet) and Flugelhorn (Gezzen) for Cumulatively 40 years ,
Yet i need your advise and Encouraging .
Since i start playing in high school i was attracted to Jazz.
started with clasic concetrts, Folk , rock, and performed in contemporary music (bill dixon trumpeter) and jazz style (not real jazz) on stages,
I have recorded some Cd’s and even a few jazz parts with my improvising jazz .
My frustration is that i play only from ear and i do not know what am i doing .
I have a giant “hole” in my knowledje and i do not know what is wrong or what do i miss ?.
I wonder if you could hear my recording and let me know what is wrong with me and what should i do to correct

Yo … Glad to have you one the web site. I would be happy to make some suggestions on your playing if you send me something to listen to. As to a lack of music theory knowledge, if you start in the Beginners Corner and play forward, reading and studying everything related to jazz theory, you will get enough information to do just fine with my system.
