Welcome to Jazz Everyone’s teacher’s corner featuring Gary Smulyan, Charlie Porter, Justin Kisor, Steve Weist, and other top jazz pros. In addition to Jazz Everyone’s core curriculum, we hope to bring in other instruments and other approaches to learning jazz. This is our first effort to add some diversity to the Jazz Everyone online lesson plan.
Willie has done a few sessions with Gary that are available for you to watch now. Gary is also working on some other materials that we hope to have up soon, including his own Immersion Zone. Justin Kisor has been busy, doing a couple videos with Willie as well as some of his own stuff. You can check those out here. Justin has plans to do is own Immersion Zone too. Charlie Porter has put up some “Trumpet Tips” videos as well. Steve Wiest has been too busy with the 1 O’Clock Lab Band down at the University of North Texas, but we have plans to do some trombone lessons with him soon, as well as a full Immersion Zone.
