Full Band Practice Arrangements
12:15 pm in General by Willie Thomas
Full Band arrangements for classroom routines have been written with 5 voice harmonies. The full band sound can be achieved with either the brass section or the sax section. This makes it possible for the brass section to play the background for a routine with specified rhythms while the sax section plays an etude or core curriculum download exercise. This process can also be reversed with the sax’s playing the harmonies and the brass playing the etudes or exercises. These full band arrangements also provide an excellent background for developing solo potential over the various harmonized full band sounds. Special rhythm section parts are provided for each full band arrangement which makes it possible for your rhythm players to actually play together like the rhythm section in a real band. Full scores for all arrangements are also available for directors.
We’ve divided the arrangements into two groups, one for intermediate/advanced bands and one for startup bands.
